Yes you can buy a monthly card at Fysiken, we offer a Multi Card (train at all our facilities except Fysiken CrossFit) for 660 SEK/month (student) and 880 SEK/month (non-student). We also have an option with no binding period to our Muli card, choosing between paying for a number of months at a time or to have an ongoing direct debit until further notice (minimum 3 months).
No, we will always add your new time to your membership
All of our 12 months card can be paid by direct debit, (also 3 months without binding time with 1 months notice). The money withdraw will be made on the 28th each month. Note that you will have to pay for your first month at the reception. Of course you can choose to pay the entire amount at once, both in cash and by card. We accept all the regular payment cards including American Express. Please note that all Fysikens facilities are cash free.
The members fee is 200 SEK and applies to all cards with the exception of clipcards.
From the year you turn 15 you may purchase a membership at Fysiken. After turning 12 years old you are allowed to work out with a parent or guardian (you can participate in sports and CrossFit from the year you turn 15).
You can always upgrade your membership in order to get better access to Fysiken. We will help you in the reception. We won’t add any binding time when you upgrade your membership as long as it was purchased at the original price and wasn’t a campaign offer.
Yes, all memberships except 10 and 25 times cards. You and the person who will take over the card need to visit the reception together in order to arrange the transfer. If you can’t attend; you need to write a power of attorney to the person who will take over your card. The transfer fee is 200 SEK. In case you have a discount on your membership the person who takes over the card can only inherit the same price if he or she is entitled to the same discount e.g. if you are a student the new cardholder need to be a student as well.
Are you a student, business customer or did you purchase your card on a special offer? In that case it’s likely that you have paid a lower price than regular with direct debit. During your binding time you’ve had a discount. After the binding time expired your price has automatically changed to the regular price. Showing your student ID no later than 10 days before your binding time expires can extend a student price. Your student price will then run for another 12 months. A discount due to a corporate agreement may be renewed upon presentation of current employment certificate. Unfortunately you may not get re-paid the money because the price has gone up by contract, but you can change your future price by showing any kind of certificate that you still are entitled to the lower price. Fysiken is a non-profit organization and is owned by the students. Our main purpose is to promote an active and healthy lifestyle for the students of Gothenburg.
To obtain student prices a valid Student ID must be shown in the reception (SFS-/Mecenat-/CSN-card, a receipt from the student union or a certificate of registration from the University/College).
Unfortunately as a private person this option is not possible. If you want your company to receive an invoice, you can print a business requisition on our website, you need to have completed the form before you visit the front desk to purchase/pick up your card.
In order to collect payment plans and receipts, please visit one of our receptions. Please bring a valid ID with you.
Yes! If you have a 12 months card you may freeze your membership during a total period of 3 months. The fee to freeze the membership is 200 SEK each time. If you don't have a 12 months card you can freeze your card in case of injury, pregnancy and studies and work in another city. You need a medical certificate in order to freeze your membership. Note: With direct debit you have to freeze the card before the 20th the month before.

This usually depends on one of two things. Either your membership has run out of time or your gym card has been blocked due to missed activities or failure to unbook a class. Please contact the front desk and they will help you out.
Unbook the class no later than 2 hours (4 hours for crossfit) before the activity starts. You need to collect your ticket earlier than 10 minutes before the class starts. If you miss two classes your card will be blocked and you will have to pay a fee of 50 SEK to be able to book activities again.

If your friend is new to Fysiken he or she can purchase a trial week at Fysiken for 250 SEK and if your friend becomes a member within 10 days after this week he or she will get the 200 SEK fee deducted (receipt must be presented). Your friend can always buy a single ticket (200 SEK). This offer does not include Fysiken CrossFit or Fysiken Klätterlabbet.
There are ramps on all of our locations where you can work out using barbells. The floor is not made for heavy weights slamming down and during daytime we also have neighbors to consider. Therefore the evening is a better time to drop weights in the spaces designated. Using correct weights helps to decrease the noise. The black soft weights are better to drop than the hard colorful ones. Talk to the front desk if you feel uncertain or if you think we need to stop anyone from dropping weights. We are always trying to maintain a work out environment that is pleasant for everybody.
Yes. You can bring your baby to the gym on weekdays 06.45 – 11.00. You need to keep your baby in a babysitter or a carriage that you can supervise during your work out. You can bring your baby to Fysiken Kaserntorget and Fysiken Gibraltargatan (only in the cardio area) after signed the agreement. You are fully responsible for your baby while staying in the gym.
No. However we strongly recommend you to get a personal accident insurance. ALL TRAINING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK and Fysiken do not take responsibility for any injuries that may occur either during group training or individual training. Fysiken pays no materials (e.g. ice packs, elastic bandages, etc.) in order to mitigate any damage.
No, there are badminton rackets for rent at the front desk for 20 SEK. You must hand in your ID card at the reception in order to rent.
Yes, but there are also padlocks to rent for a fee of 5 SEK as long as you hand in your ID card at the reception. You can also buy a padlock at the reception.

At Fysiken Klätterlabbet Centrum there are so called auto belayers, which means that if you have a green card you can belay yourself and climb on your own. You can also climb alone on the bouldering walls (free climbing), available at all three climbing gyms.
For everyone’s comfort in the gym, it is important that we all help to maintain order. Please remember to:
Return all weights and equipment when finished.
Do not drop weights on the gym floor.
Do not use loose chalk/magnesium/calcium or similar in the gym. Use chalk balls instead, you can buy them at our facilities.
Use a towel and remember to wipe off the sweat from the machines.
No bags are allowed in the gym, this is a safety caution in case of fire.
Wear clean clothes and clean shoes.
Bring your own padlock and remember to empty your locker when leaving the facility. You can also buy or rent a padlock at the reception. Any padlocks left in the locker rooms will be removed at the end of the day. Fysiken is not responsible for any lost items.
